Born in 1953 and raised in California, United States

Self-taught starting at the age of fifteen.

Time spent abroad, including six years in Jalisco, Mexico gave Larry Lewis the nick name of RENZO which he goes by till this day. His travels have greatly influenced his work, giving many of his paintings and sculptures an unmistakable Mezzo-American flavor with unique symbolic richness drawn from different cultures and customs.
